Weekend Watch

It's been a while.a long while.

Again, time seems to fly. been held back by loads of work and assignment. the usual crazy late end assignment post up. even so, weekends went good so far. and its becoming a ritual for me i think, to get one or two dvds over the weekend. its quite nice actually, walk up a store and randomly pick a story to see. avatar, jackie chan, japanese anything you name em all. got to see Shrek Everafter a couple of weeks ago. it was nice and my advice is, never go see cartoons in bright daylight if you're allergy to crying and screaming kids.fortunately, was saved by fat puss. Fat puss was hilarious. HILARIOUS.

KINTA 1881. Directed by CL HOR. Set up in Kinta Valley, Perak, Malaysia tells a story of chinese immigrant from the mainland surviving mine works in Malaya. The manipulation of greedy landlords to squeeze every worth of effort in desperate men to live wealth, the sweat, the tears and romance. and of course, the best part is, its like watching afro samurai but better.way better. what i like about Kinta is its all  moving, actions speaks louder than words. there were really not much scripts here. maybe the actors aint that much of actor rather than martial art practitioners. Heard it was a malaysian production effort.

ECHOES OF THE RAINBOW. Directed by Alex Law. This one lines up a few Hong Kong people that is no stranger to us. Simon Yam, Sandra Ng. Set up back in 1960s where life was hard and rich was rich, echoes of the rainbow is life as seen through the eyes of an 8 years old boy. Still under the influence of British/US, it show the life of a shoemaker, his wife and their two sons. Lets straight things up, its a story seen by a boy so you must be thinking, that boy sets the pace. pung. Well, at first i thought the boy or perhaps his dads gonna set the pace but then again, as many good film twists you, its the first son. and hey check him out. Aarif Lee, dads half malay chinese,dads chinese. Thats what wiki said. Gosh did he looks like kyuhyun from the side.Well, good lucking guys are meant to be touched on screen dake. This one too was a good watch.

say, anyone got a good suggestion of a malay movie to watch? havent been catching up with the local industry lately. not that im not patriotic, i just dont like most of the genre today.  last malay movie ive seen was papadom. where have all the afdlin shauki and puteri-puteri gunung went? how, where to find em lot i dont know.let me know.

and efi posted something bout tablos getting a child so0n. son0 maeni, omedetou gozaimas tablosan. so a story to tell, its funny actually cause last week a found quite an interesting movie to watch over the weekend. so i pick it up to see whos what and what. then i saw kang hye-jung, i was like 'oh.'. letak terus der..letak paling belakang pulak tu. if you cant kill the relationship, kill the career. like duh. seconds later i laugh to myself. what stupid is this. like an x still not over lover spat. stupid. hell i dont even know him. hah. guessed that must be what those diehardfun of suju whatever will feel when they beloved "oppa" got owned. funny. but thats about it. still, i wish em happiness. truly. just hope the child would turn more like the mom. cause the dads crazy (".) they really do look alike, husband and wife.----HOw did i end up talking bout em? dam.
